For our client, well known company in the offshore industry, we are looking for candidates for the position:
Construction engineer
Do you enjoy working for an oil company? And do you agree that guiding the activities in the offshore industry is a challenging job?
You should be flexible and able to improvise. Your role consist of a combination of logistics, organized planning, purchase, financial guidance and technique.
As a Construction Engineer (piping/mechanical) you have the responsibility to complete and implement work packs, to satisfy the construction requirements and changes of our clients and to ensure that all offshore QUENSH (Quality, Environment, Safety and Health) are undertaken.
Other responsibilities:
- Communicate with Construction Team Leader regarding design innovation, cost reduction solutions and identify areas where suitable improvements can be made; challenging, where appropriate, the existing standards.
- Support and assist the Construction Team Leader, Project Engineers and Support Engineers in their responsibilities/duties as described below:
• Checking Status of material ordered by engineering
• Take an active lead in safety and safe working practices
• ‘Cascade’ contents of Implementation workpacks to workforce.
• Assist with the resolving of conflicts between competing works at the location in order to meet production deliveries.
- Ensure that the integrity of data held in maintenance support systems, such as SAP, is accurate
- Communicate with Delivery Team Leader regarding cost reduction solutions and identify areas where suitable improvements can be made; challenging, where appropriate, the existing standards.

Qualifications/Experience:
• Minimum 3 years industry experience
• Bachelor / HBO (HNC), Mechanical Engineering level
• Fluent in English (Read/Write):
• Competent in use of appropriate codes of practices, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation.
• Competent in use of design and assessment methods used within discipline.
• Competent in use of analytical methods used within discipline and aware of theoretical background for analysis programs.
• Competent in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work.
• Competent in design safety/environmental requirements, procedures and responsibilities.
Computer literate.
Knowledge of monitoring and controlling budgets with associated discipline maintenance activities
• Develops a pro-active attitude aimed at a decrease of reactive tasks
