We are seeking an experienced Group Business Controller to join a leading international company in the retail sector. The ideal candidate will play a key role in business analysis and support strategic decision-making for the management team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, analyse, and present detailed operational reports that provide insights into business performance;
- Act as a sparring partner for the Management Board, offering strategic input based on in-depth data analysis.
- Contribute to strategic planning, budget forecasts, and performance reviews by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within the business;
- Utilise tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Power Query to create dashboards and reports that enable informed decision-making, responsible for extracting and processing data and for interpreting it to drive business outcomes;
- Work closely with various departments, including e-commerce, logistics, and marketing to ensure alignment between financial performance and operational activities;
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and report financial results;
- Identify potential financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them;
- Participate in the budgeting process and cost control;
- Optimise financial and operational processes within the company;
- Work on large data sets using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Power Query to generate detailed reports;
- Act as a sparring partner for the Management Board, offering strategic input based on in-depth data analysis.
Requirements:
- Solid experience in operational controlling, with a strong ability to work on large databases;
- Proficiency in Power BI is essential, with additional experience in Tableau and Power Query highly desirable;
- Fluent in English is a must, as daily interaction with the Management Board and the Group will require strong communication skills in English;
- Strong business acumen and the ability to deliver comprehensive reports from start to finish, not just data presentation;
- Experience in the retail, FMCG, or e-commerce sectors is preferred, with a deep understanding of the business dynamics in these industries;
