Your new company 

is a European state-owned energy company, focusing on generating and selling electricity and heat. We are currently recruiting a new Python team for the IT Operation Center in Wroclaw. If you are passionate about technology and sustainability, we encourage you to apply. 

Your new role 

As a Data Engineer (Python DevOps), you will enhance the network cloud platform using AWS technologies. You39ll work in an agile team across multiple sites, deploying and operating Python microservices. You39ll automate operations with DevOps principles using Terraform and GitHub actions. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, continuous delivery, and maintaining healthy, observable systems is essential. You collaborate well, are structured and transparent, and excel at simplifying complex tasks. 

• Advising the team on designing and deploying services in AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborating with backend and frontend teams to design interfaces.
• Developing protocols for storage and data maintenance.
• Supporting the system architect with architectural decisions.
• Working with DevOps, CloudOps, EA architecture, and cybersecurity teams.
• Coaching the team and being open to learning about the energy sector.

What you39ll need to succeed 

• Bachelor39s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud platform and data transport mechanisms.
• Experience with development practices and DevOps engineering, including CI/CD processes and orchestration technologies.
• Solid foundation in platform engineering principles for scalable and resilient system architecture.
• Experience in data engineering, architecture development, and deployment.
• Knowledge of IT security, high availability, cybersecurity, maintenance, and support.
• Familiarity with data storage and maintenance methods.
• Experience with message brokers and microservice architectures.
• Basic knowledge of OCPP, MQTT, and IoT devices.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps, preferably with AWS.
• Proven experience in deploying and managing infrastructure using ECS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Understanding of Software Engineering principles: SOLID, clean code.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and articulation of complex ideas.
• Full professional proficiency in written and oral English.

• Creative approach and awareness of emerging technologies.
• Prior experience with electricity markets and flexibility markets.
• Experience with chargers for electric vehicles or home energy management.
• Familiarity with forecast models and parameter tuning.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Good communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Enjoys working in a multilingual/multicultural environment.
• Experience with Machine Learning and MLOps.
