Senior Manager Accounting EMEA
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Accounting EMEA. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective operation of our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other finance processes across multiple legal entities in the EMEA region. General Summary:
The Senior Accounting Manager EMEA will be responsible for certain areas in the monthly close process, ensuring effective compliance with the company’s internal controls and the efficient operation of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other process-led Finance activities. The scope of work is expected to expand both in terms of team size and range of tasks, covering multiple legal entities across the EMEA region.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Select, manage, train, and develop direct reports, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. Establish objectives and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Develop, document, and implement effective processes for the team’s areas of responsibility, including agreeing changes with relevant stakeholders and performing approvals as required by internal controls.
  • Actively participate in the integration and maintenance of current and new accounting systems and processes.
  • Perform key parts of the month-end close, including analysis, financial statement review, and account reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit schedules and work directly with external auditors in multiple countries.
  • Ensure SOX compliance by monitoring accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Understand relevant security, privacy, and compliance principles and adhere to applicable regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with SAP
  • Experience in a similar role within a local team or SSC structure
  • Big4 background 
  • Excellent English skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with 10+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience of managing a team to run effective international processes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A good understanding of IFRS/US GAAP, internal controls, and the full scope of accounting activity
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical abilities, as well as oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise assignments while handling various projects simultaneously
