Our client is a Scandinavian company building its SSC structures in Warsaw.
Your new role
The Team Leader General Ledger is responsible for managing and overseeing the Record-to-Report/GL processes while performing operational tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach, balancing leadership and active participation in daily operations.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Oversee recurring/non-recurring journal entries, account reconciliation, trial balance adjustments, intercompany balances, inventory adjustments, and fixed assets management.
- VAT and transactional tax accounting/reporting, including external reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, and support internal/external audits.
- Guide and support GL associates, handle queries, and provide training on processes.
- Work with OtC, PtP teams, finance management, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth global finance operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What you39ll need to succeed
- Bachelor39s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or related fields.
- Over 5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance operations.
- Fluent English, additional Scandinavian language or German as an added value.
- Experience in the role of team coordinator.
- Experience in multinational, multi-site operations is a plus.
- Effective interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative approach to achieving goals.
